What is so stupid about wanting to be where God is?
In the drama, Leah was insistent that she go with Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem and then again to go with them when they fled to Egypt. She didn’t know what exactly to expect but she wanted to be where Jesus was.
In Matthew 14:22-33 we read about another follower who wanted to be where Jesus was. Peter got out of the safety of boat to walk on to the rough, stormy sea. Why did he do this? Because that is where Jesus was. Even though the water was scary and even though Peter didn’t know what to expect out there, he wanted to be where Jesus was. Peter took a step of faith.
